This is a fantastic opportunity to join the software development team based at Velti office in Athens. We are looking for an exception individual whose key responsibilities will be to:

Analyze, design, code, test and document software in Java
Support database schemas designs and query optimization
Provide solutions to process data for recommendation engines
Follow Agile development methodologies
Keep abreast with new technologies
You should be able to demonstrate three years working experience with Java and design patterns, familiarity with frameworks such as Hibernate (or other O/R mapping tool) and Spring, and database schema design and query optimization. Having experience in some of the following are NOT required but WILL be considered an advantage:
Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, etc)

Hibernate and Spring
Shell Scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc)
Understanding of Apache Hadoop subprojects
Knowledge of Oracle 10g or later
Experience with data modeling and database warehouses
Experience with Web Services
A BA/BSc degree or similar computer/engineering/information system engineering degree will be considered as an asset.
