Our client, a leading multinational company, with unique innovative products in the field of consumer goods that respond to everyday needs, is looking for a Grinding Process Engineer for its R&D center in Greece.

The role of the incumbent will be to analyze metal grinding process and machines in order to propose, develop and implement improvements to metal/steel product parts aiming to enhance the properties performance, increase productivity, improve consistency of product and reduce costs.

More specifically, the incumbent will operate in the R&D environment where he/she will design, develop and implement methods for analyzing and measuring the interactions of the grinding wheels with the steel strip, in order to improve the properties of the product metal part, as well as in order to improve the grinding process, design, evaluate and industrialize grinding machine parts and stations in order to optimize the grinding process, co-operate and communicate with the grinding department, collaborate with Institutes and Universities for the improvement of the process, collaborate with patent consultants, write proposals, undertake the research work and follow the progress of funded R&D projects in grinding, follow up the new technological advances in the field of his research, through international literature, seminars, conferences and exhibitions, follow up the advances of the competition in his/her field.

He/she will report to the department Development Manager

Candidates must possess a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3 - 5 years of experience in metallic materials removal operations and tools with focus in abrasive processes, be competent in analysis, design and evaluation of industrial machine components towards machine and process optimization and must be experts in Computer based design techniques (CAD, Pro Engineer Wildfire IV). They also must be fluent in English, both written and oral, have communication and pc skills.

Additionally, candidates should have very good analytical thinking and project management skills.
