International Hospitality Company is looking for a well experienced Market Manager for Greece, based in Athens.
The objective of the Market Manager is to own and grow the assigned market (s) profitability through the acquisition and the management of inventory, prices and supplier relationships.

Build and Develop the Team
Good and pro-active team work
High level of participation in all team and individual projects and meetings
Provide the team and the Regional Manager with regular, constructive and relevant feedback
Prepare and present high quality Market Business Reviews (MBR) supporting the market needs and trends
Share all your best practices and knowledge with the team to increase the overall level of the team work
Be Consumer Friendly
Ensure of overall market rate competitiveness (30%/75% of meet/beat rule will apply for top 80% suppliers)
Ensure overall market inventory level by exceeding the overall demand throughout the market (5% compression rule will apply)
Negotiate and secure market deals, exclusive promotions and dynamic rate rules (DRR) by meeting or exceeding Expedia Inc. Point of Sales (POS) merchandising requirements
Negotiate and finalize all renewals in a timely and effective process as per each Regional goals and targets
Be Supplier Friendly
High focus on internal and external relationships addressing the needs of our suppliers
Train accordingly our suppliers to our Management Tools (Extranet, Direct Connectivity…) and to our Merchan[t] Business Model
Plan and execute regular and relevant Market Visits according to the Regional goals, targets and objectives
Attend and participate to all relevant tradeshows, workshops and local events to match the market needs and requirements
Share relevant data and information with the suppliers to ensure a high level of communication and feedback to optimize the supplier performance
Build Operational Excellence
Verify, analyze and understand all available data and reports by giving continuously feedback on the quality of the data
Maintain and develop the high level of usage of “Salesforce”, our central supplier information database as per the Regional goals and targets
Train and develop all our suppliers on our ExpediaPay processes and tool
Trainings: active participation to all trainings provided to you by the Company
Follow and implement all Health and Safety standards in all respective markets

Contacts:
This position has frequent interaction with external suppliers on the property level. Daily interactions with other team members and various critical departments and teams within the company. In many cases, interactions with both internal and external parties will be at mid and upper management levels.

Candidates must have:
Knowledge of the hotel industry in Greece
Sales experience
Ability to negotiate terms and conditions
Strong analytical skills

Requirements/Qualifications:
College Degree (BAC + 3) and/or minimum of 2-3 years work experience in international Tour Operation hotel contracting
Strong analytical, organization, communication and people skills required
Working knowledge of revenue/account management preferred
Team leader and team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment
Professional “get it done” attitude and work ethic
Proficiency in English and Greek
Market Manager in Greece will be responsible for negotiating with hotels and signing partnership agreements. Market Manager will be based in Athens, with extensive travel across the country for market visits and meetings with hotel managers (travel expenses are covered by the company).
