Role Description:
Leading the accounting function, being responsible for the organization and coordination of all accounting operations allowing the organization to better monitor current financial status and ensure effective control.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the position holder will lead the accounting team.

Principal accountabilities:
Organizes and coordinates all accounting activities and period closings, prepares and signs individual and consolidated financial statements, according to local practices and IAS
Manages the efficient workflow of the Accounting department
Provides guidance to company management and other departments regarding the correct tax and accounting specificities
Ensures effective control and compliance with the Greek tax practices and represents the company to the tax authorities
Monitors cost accounting and manages inventory, receivable and fixed asset accounts
Collaborates with auditors and other consultants for financial and tax matters
Leads and manages the team, including performance management, coaching and development

Candidate Profile:
University degree in Accounting/Finance or Economics to BSc level, combined with considerable professional training
At least 8 years of professional experience, of which 2 to 3 years at the supervisory level, preferably in the FMCG sector
Strong knowledge of the Greek GAAP and statutory requirements, [K].[B].[S] and [E].[G].[L].[S]. and Tax/Legal Law requirements
Working experience with IAS/IFRS is required
A class signatory right is mandatory
Fluency in both Greek and English and IT literacy
People management experience
Organizational skills, hands on, results and deadline orientation

Ability to work under pressure in a complex organization
